By receiving proper training, food service managers can ensure the safety of their customers by preventing cross-contamination, understanding labeling requirements and effectively responding to allergen-related incidents. Michigan Food Law Act 92 requires most food establishments to have a certified food manager with additional allergens training on staff.
The majority of food establishments in Michigan are required to have at least one certified manager that has successfully completed an additional allergen training course. Our training is designed for food service managers, kitchen supervisors and other personnel responsible for overseeing food preparation and handling in restaurants, cafes, catering companies and other food establishments in the state of Michigan.
We recommend that certified food managers complete food allergens training before starting work. Most food-service establishments in Michigan are legally required to have at least one certified manager that has received additional allergen training.
